Your invoices, bills and bank, in one place.
Clients Assistant keeps your company's books: send invoices, record bills and payments, reconcile your bank, and see your profit and balance sheet whenever you need them. At the year end, the same figures go straight into your Corporation Tax return.
From first invoice to year-end figures
Set up your company
Set your financial year, chart of accounts and VAT rates, then add your customers, suppliers, products and services.
Invoice and record
Email invoices to your customers, record your bills, receipts and payments, and post journals for anything else.
Reconcile and report
Reconcile your bank, see who owes you and who you owe, and run your trial balance, balance sheet and income statement. At the year end, start the Corporation Tax return from the same books.
Everything a small company's books need.
Sales, purchases, bank and journals all post to one ledger, so your reports are always up to date. When it's time for the Corporation Tax return, there's nothing to re-type: the year's figures come straight from your books.
- Sales invoices and credit notes, sent to your customers by email
- Invoice each customer in their own currency
- Aged debtors and creditors, so you know who to chase and what's due
- Invite colleagues or your accountant by email to keep the books with you
- Optional two-step sign-in: a code from an authenticator app as well as your password, so a stolen password alone can't open your account

Questions people ask before switching
Yes. Every company can use all of the bookkeeping free, and its first 20 sales and purchase invoices are on us, with no card details needed. After that you subscribe to add more invoices.
Everything you've entered stays available: your customers and suppliers, your invoices, your bank records and your reports. To add more sales or purchase invoices, subscribe in Billing Subscriptions. The menu shows how many free invoices you have left.
Yes. When the year ends, start the company's Corporation Tax return from your Clients Assistant books, and the year's figures come straight from the ledger into the accounts and the CT600. Preparing the return is free; filing it needs a Corporation Tax plan.
Yes. Send an invoice to your customer by email from the Invoices page.
Yes. Choose the invoicing currency for each customer, and the invoice is raised in that currency.
Yes. An admin invites each person by email from the Users page. They accept by creating an account, or by signing in with an existing Clients Assistant account. Each plan includes a set number of users per company; a company without a subscription has only the person who set it up.
Your account is protected by your password, and you can add two-step sign-in for free. Turn it on under Settings > Business Setup > Sign-in Security: after your password, you enter a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator, so someone who learns your password still can't sign in. It's optional, and you can turn it off at any time. If you lose your phone, an admin of your company or Clients Assistant support can reset it, and we email you whenever that happens.
